Professional Development Content
In addition to allowing community members to locate and share resources with each other, Brokers of Expertise gives educators access to quality professional development provided by programs and organizations around the state.
Within the offerings you may find online seminars as well as
a showcase of best practices, strategies and programs that schools
are using to increase achievement across the state.
Visit the Professional Development Content tab to find modules in various categories, which include Curriculum, Instruction, and Evaluation.
Finding Professional Development Content
Similar to Resources, the list of Professional Development Content can be filtered to show specific categories, grades, or subjects. Available professional development modules will appear in the display view. Click on the titles of modules that interest you to explore further.
Navigating Professional Development Content
Clicking on a professional development item will take you to a unique page dedicated to the specified content.
Each part of the professional development content has
a
Table of Contents which lists each page in the
module. Pages can include text, video, or other content.
You can navigate within each professional development module by exploring the table of contents, located on the left side of the page.
Some sections can be expanded to view sub-content. Click on the plus sign (“+”) next to a link name to see the sub-pages for that area.
If you find a series of professional development content useful and engaging, you can also add it to your Favorites. From the main professional development selection screen, simply click on Add to Favorites.
The professional development component within BOE is a great way to expand your knowledge and evaluate what tools, strategies and ideas others are using to close the achievement gap and create new learning opportunities. We encourage you to sift through the material and learn as much as you can on BOE!
