You’re invited to learn strategies for connecting with charter authorizers, school leadership teams and classroom teachers—within your area and across the state—and find a wealth of charter information and resources to support your school community.
The Charter Schools Best Practices Project of the California Department of Education (CDE) is an online community resource to access and share charter resources, collaborate in communities of practice and engage in online professional development.
At each location, a morning training session is focused on Charter Authorizers and an afternoon session is focused on Charter Leadership Teams and classroom teachers.

The Charter Schools Best Practices Project provides charter school authorizers, school site administrators and classroom teachers with resources to:
- Assist in planning and starting charter schools.
- Evaluate charter petitions.
- Develop partnerships with other schools and local districts.
- Support teaching practices to increase student achievement.
