Communication in BOE

Brokers of Expertise is much more than an incredible place to find and store educational resources—it’s a collaboration point designed to bring together the diverse talent and expertise of educators. The following tools allow you to keep track of activities on the BOE site and communicate with groups and other members of the BOE community.  

Notifications

Notifications are messages sent to alerts you to the latest activity on the site that pertains to you. For example, notifications let you know if you have been invited to join a group, someone has shared a resource with you, someone has commented on a resource that you have uploaded, someone has favorited you, or other events in the site have occurred.

Messages

The BOE Message Center allows you to send messages to any group or member of the BOE community.

Comments

Comments give you the ability to attach instant feedback to a resource or person's profile in BOE. Comments can be used to provide quick notes of encouragement, feedback, or to make connections.

Discussions

BOE features many discussion forums around topics of interest to the BOE community. You can engage in general discussions, discussions about course subjects, or discussions within your groups.
