Getting an Account

By joining the BOE community, you will not only gain access to a wealth of resources, but to an entire network of experienced teachers and school site staff.

Join the BOE Community

1. Click on the Request Account link at the top of the site.

2. Fill out the fields listed on the sign-up page, including your e-mail address, a password, your name, and the name of the school or institution with which you are affiliated.
   
   Use your school or institution e-mail address for fast approval. If you choose to use your personal e-mail address, you will be asked to enter a phone number to verify your identity.
   
   Once you have entered your email address, you can select the name of your institution. As you type, you will notice a menu of choices appear. Select the appropriate school or agency. Selecting your school or institution allows you to be connected with your colleagues and gain access to your institution's group in the BOE community.
    
3. You are welcome to select your subject and grades if that is appropriate for your position and interests. Selecting subjects and grades may help other BOE members find you when searching for people with similar interests.
     To select more specific areas you can click on the plus sign next to any subject to expand the list. For example, a high school physics teacher may wish to expand the list under science to select physics.
    
4. If you were provided a registration code you may enter it in the appropriate space. A registration code is not required to request an account on the BOE site. The registration code is not required. Registration codes are only necessary in certain circumstances, and you may set up your account without one.
    
5. You are asked to type a pair of words shown in the box to prevent spam and stop Web robots or “bots” from accessing the BOE community. If you cannot read the ones shown, simply click your browser’s refresh button to see a new pair of words. Type the pair of words shown in the box —with a space between them.
   
    
6. You must agree to the terms of service before you can complete your registration. Review the terms of service and check the box to indicate that you agree to the terms of service and privacy policy of the site. Click “Register” when you are ready to proceed.
